Why See School of Rock?
Are You Ready To Rock?
Based on the great family movie starring Jack Black, School of Rock follows slacker Dewey Finn as he molds a preppy class of misfits into a rock band to reckon with. Packed with a cast of talented kids, this show proves that with enough heart and energy, anyone can stick it to the man!
School of Rock was Andrew Lloyd Webber's first original show to debut on Broadway since 1971, and proved to be a monster hit with critics and audiences alike. The book comes courtesy of Oscar winner and Downtown Abbey writer Julian Fellowes, while the score is a mix of original compositions and numbers from the movie. This Scranton Cultural Center pdocution is directed by Camille Reinecke and choreographed by Jackilyn Yamialkowski.
