Why see Five Finger Death Punch?

Five Finger Death Punch Live!

As the name suggests, Five Finger Death Punch isn't your grandmother's band. Named after the nifty and deadly martial arts technique in Tarantino's Kill Bill, this heavy metal fivesome formed in Las Vegas in 2005 and has been climbing the metal ranks ever since. Led by vocalist Ivan Moody, Five Finger Death Punch is renowned for their ferocious stage presence and expert blending of thrash, alt-rock, and classic metal elements.

This year, they're hitting the road with special guests Marilyn Manson and Slaughter To Prevail as support!

Five finger Death Punch

They were awesome. The only thing is that I thought was FFDP didn't play long enough. The other 2 bands sounded great as well. I don't care what other people say it was pretty bad ass. I would definitely recommend seeing them and seeing them again. I'm not really a country fan but I really liked it. They sounded live just like they sound on the radio or internet(etc). It's several hours after and I want more. ... Read more

Amazing songs, light show, energy. That said, Bryon is right: the frontman did diss the stage crew (hello, someone named Peter was specifically called out). I didn't hear him refer to another band as "queers," but if my 15-year-old had, she would have marched out dragging me along. The band is obviously patriotic, but as far as I'm concerned, that should include everyone. So the star rating is for the show, but I'm not sure I'd support them in any way again unless the rhetoric changes. We don't HAVE to stomp on the vulnerable to be "bad company." (And when you're holding the mic with tens of thousands of people there to see you, yeah, everyone else is vulnerable.) ... Read more
